Refund Policy

At Lizette’s Photography, I value your time, trust, and investment. Because photography involves reserving a specific date, preparation, and delivering custom work, the following policies help ensure fairness and clarity for both you and me.

Refund Policy - the basics

1. Retainer / Booking Fee (Non-Refundable)

A non-refundable retainer is required to secure your session date and time.
This fee:

  • Reserves your spot on my calendar

  • Covers planning, communication, and holding your date

  • Is applied toward your total session cost

The retainer is non-refundable under all circumstances.

2. Cancellations

Client Cancellation

If you need to cancel:

  • More than 48 hours before your session:
    No refund will be issued, but your retainer may be transferred to one rescheduled date (subject to availability).

  • Within 48 hours of your session:
    Retainer is forfeited and a new retainer is required to book another date.

Photographer Cancellation

If Lizette’s Photography must cancel due to illness, emergency, or unsafe conditions:

  • You may reschedule at no additional cost, OR

  • Receive a full refund, including your retainer.

3. Rescheduling

Clients may reschedule one time at no additional fee if notice is given at least 48 hours before the session.

Additional reschedules may require:

  • A new retainer

  • Or an added rescheduling fee

4. Weather Policy (Outdoor Sessions)

For outdoor shoots:

  • Sessions may be rescheduled due to unsafe or extreme weather (heavy rain, storms, high winds).

  • Overcast skies, mild heat, or light mist do not qualify for cancellation.

If the photographer determines weather is too poor for quality photos, rescheduling will be provided at no extra cost.

5. No-Show Policy

A client is considered a no-show if they are 15+ minutes late without communication.

No-shows result in:

  • Full forfeiture of retainer

  • Session cancellation

  • A new retainer required to rebook

6. Refunds on Delivered Work

Due to the creative nature of photography, all delivered digital images and galleries are non-refundable.

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Client dissatisfaction with poses, styling, or personal appearance

  • Changes of mind after editing has begun

  • Not reading the photographer’s style portfolio or expectations

However, I always aim for customer satisfaction and will consider one complimentary minor edit upon request.

7. Turnaround Time

Standard gallery delivery is 1–2 weeks, unless otherwise stated.
Delayed gallery delivery due to emergencies or technical issues will be communicated promptly.

8. Products & Prints

All physical products (prints, albums, USBs, etc.) are final sale and non-refundable once ordered.

9. By Booking a Session

You acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
